About

Case Closed Con is a two-day celebration of all things Crime, Mystery, and Thriller, bringing together authors, publishers, podcasters, and fans for an immersive and unforgettable experience. Held in Bloomington, Minnesota, just steps from the iconic Mall of America, the convention takes place April 11–12, 2026, and features a dynamic lineup of programming designed to thrill and engage.

From author panels, book signings, and interactive experiences like the Con City Tours, to unique events such as the Agatha Christie Tea, Dinner Theater, and Author Merry Go-Round, attendees will be fully engaged in the worlds of suspense and intrigue. With support from Once Upon a Crime Bookstore and a diverse lineup of voices from across the genre—including True Crime Podcasters and bestselling authors—Case Closed Con is a destination for discovery, connection, and storytelling.

Organized by Adventure Awaits Events, Case Closed Con is committed to creating an inclusive, community-driven event that celebrates the genre’s legacy while spotlighting today’s most exciting voices in crime fiction.

About the crew:

Rachel – Queen of the Realm
Hey there! I’m Rachel, the founder of Case Closed Con, where we specialize in turning ordinary moments into unforgettable experiences. I’ve always been passionate about bringing people together, so creating immersive, community-centered events around the Twin Cities felt like the perfect adventure!

When I’m not knee-deep in event planning, you can find me curled up with a hot cup of tea (Tea Source’s Minnesota N’ice is my personal favorite!), living my best life in The Sims, or hanging out with my real-life sidekick—my cat, Lady Grey. Whether it’s planning the next big bash or just catching up with friends and family, I’m all about creating connections that last. Let’s make some magic together! ✨

Michelle – Realm Mystic

Greetings! I’m Michelle, the vice chair of Case Closed Con. I’ll be heading up the vendor room and other miscellaneous fun. I started my romance passion on The Night of the Seventh Moon (Victoria Holt) while still a tweenager. I’ve wanted a local romance convention in Minneapolis for so long. I’m thrilled to be part of the team making it happen.

I have over 30 years of experience running and working on SciFi and Anime conventions ranging from less than 100 to over 7000. Besides convention running I also do theatre costuming and cosplay, make crafts to sell at craft fairs, and plan cool outings for my family and friends.

Jennifer – Brand Alchemist

I’m Jennifer, Head of Marketing with a passion for graphic design that goes back to the days of Neopets and GaiaOnline. I have been working full time as a graphic designer in the print industry for over 12 years. I live in the Minneapolis metro with my husband and toddler, and when I’m not working, you can usually find me with my kindle in hand reading, especially romantasy. When I need a break from reading, I’ve recently started crocheting, finding the process relaxing and creatively fulfilling.

Professionally, I’m all about creating cohesive brands and designing seamless event experiences. After years of attending and helping organize anime conventions party rooms, I’m excited to bring my event planning experience to the book world and help bring stories to life in new ways.
